Doug has been on the radio since 1986, beginning in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he grew up.  Until he moved to Nashville, Doug was on air for dozens of stations – including 2 years on the morning show at KLOVE with Dick Jenkins and David Pierce, many years as a traffic reporter including a stint on KSOL as traffic  rapper “Doug EE Fresh” – and 6 years as morning show co-host (“Jungle Doug”) with Gary Scott Thomas on country KRTY/San Jose.

 

In 1998 Doug moved to Music City to take over the morning show for WAY FM (1998-2001) – and then moved over to Salem.  Doug was on the air for the entire 21 ½ year run of The Fish Nashville.  The first 16 years as morning show host, a few years in middays and finishing up with the award winning & top 5 rated afternoon show “Heart and Humor” with Jayme Summers on 94FM The Fish and Salem’s “Today’s Christian Music” Network.

Doug loves family time with his son, daughter and son-in-law who live south of Franklin TN.

 

Doug's favorite verse is Phil. 4:6-7 which in the “Message” reads “Don’t fret or worry.  Instead of worrying, pray.  Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.  Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.  It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
